Impact frames are amazing, lemme say that...but I now that I've seen it in Haikyuu I can firmly say I'm glad they didn't add it because then it would detract from the Slice of Life setting and how Haikyuu is genuinely about highschool students and volleyball, not some super power scaling Shounen

The first impact frame is good, REALLY good. For me, the other two stand out, but I’ve seen this multiple times, so that adds to it.

I always knew that Haikyuu was missing something in animation (not saying it’s bad) but that thing was impact frames keep up the good work man

This is so good because - in my opinion - gives a more IRL feeling to it. How you can't see every little frame when you play, but rather between blinking and not being able to follow those very quick movements. However, this would make more sense when trying to use a character's POV and not every scene.

for sure works, i like the first two impact frames but i feel like the speed of seeing the ball hit the floor and bounce its just as good if not better than its impact on the floor. good work tho

I wonder why you chose Tanaka's scene in particular. Though I do think his scene here was animated really uniquely relative to other season 4 scenes. I think impact frames would have fit spikes from Ushijima more, though.

Thanks for doing this though! It's nice to see a glimpse of an alternative style of Haikyuu that utilizes impact frames. :D
