Mineplex's Beta: Disappointing

Today we explore whether or not Mineplex delivered with their closed beta and if it's good enough. We explore things that went wrong and my disappointment in the server and the Mineplex team.

They need to bring back their original Mineplex Exclusive games. No one's gonna wanna play cake wars or sky wars when they can play that on any other server. We need castle siege, super smash mobs, bridges, all the times that made Mineplex its own server separate from Hypixel.

It for sure feels like those making decisions have no idea what Minecraft and its community can do in 2024. If they are trying to sell a 2015 experience, they are 9 years too late.

Well Mineplex does still have better speed builders than what hypixel just released.

Basically hypixel's is kind of like the original Mineplex's, but the builds can be layered, so they appear and disppear by layer, leaving you with very little time to look at the top layers.

When loading in the layers you can get teleported if the game thinks you are in a block, but you often even aren't and that disorients me so much.

Then hypixel's will always eliminate 2 players in the first 2 round, then 1 player in the next 3. Even if everyone got perfect build, the slowest will be eliminated. "It's for faster grinding" bro, where is the fun and excitement then?

I honestly think Mineplex botched this entire testing phase. How can you want feedback on games but barely announce the betas release? In my opinion, I believe they've lost nearly all of their java player base besides clans. I think they should really just make clans its own separate java server and move everything else to bedrock because that's where most players are and where most of the money comes from. The clans community can also generate a good amount of money on its own if run properly. I just don't see how they could possibly make this server work on java again from everything I've seen. Good video though.

Mineplex was so fun back in the day. I feel like they went wrong in several ways, and it doesn't seem like they're changing for the better yet. There were so many hackers because it seemed like they had just given up in 2016 or so. The servers also felt severely downgraded. The countless WIP and bugged out games also didn't help. I know new is better to a lot of people, but I feel that they need to put a lot of focus on repairing a few core games and launch from there. They had so many cool, unique games that were overlooked by the horrible experience. Also, there lobby just feels like it's meant to melt children's laptops. That hub was so slow as a kid. I feel like getting a few of those games to a modern working standard should be priority. Dragon Escape and Bridges could be a good place to start.

Samito, the owner of Mineplex, also stated that there are a lot of financial topics behind the scenes. He is very open about this and always straight to the point on updates for Mineplex.
I can understand that the beta maybe doesn't have much to offer 'yet', but I trust Samito to do a good job. The lack of players is really because it is a closed beta and honestly I am not so sure about that decision. I always been a fan of open betas to see if a game is fun without having to pay up.

There’s a lot of factors that come into building a server
Depending on how things go, we might see the server come out late late 2025 or even 2026, depending on their budget and so on

Sleepy SamitoD has proved with UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE that he doesn't have the Stamina nor the IQ to "run" a Minecraft server. Why does he promise that he will restore Mineplex to its former glory, when clearly he CANNOT? Many people are saying that Sleepy Sam wants to steal the hard-earned money of honest Mineplex players without ever demonstrating the Leadership necessary to command Mineplex or paying to host mineplex for even 1 day... REALLY SAD DAY FOR OUR COUNTRY!

I'm still having problems with the texture pack not working for me. I've literally tried everything to get it to work, but nothing has changed. I've even reached out and got completely ghosted.
