90% of german hotels or AirBnBs have pillows that are the right size but NOT mouldable. Horrible for the neck. Bringing my own pillow would add too much bulk to my luggage though. 😅

I remember when my mum came to Switzerland. she saw our two single duvets and she thought that we couldnt afford a king sized one and she offered to gift us it.... So lovely

Separate duvets is the one. My husband has a double and I have a super king. We can both be burritos.

Separate blankets is a game changer. I still get a queen sized one though because there’s nothing better than wrapping it completely around yourself

A lot of Germans do not have such pillows at home and own half pillows which supports the neck better.
Having separate duvets is much better than just one, so there is no fight with it and everyone has enough and how you need. If there would be just one duvet although we are two, I would order a second.

Separate duvets have been a marriage saver since menaupause as I get too hot sharing one.

I'm German and I HATE those soooo much... IKEA probably LOVES they exist though, as I, like a lot of other people here, get my right sized pillows from there XD

Don't like the pillow thing here in Germany, but the double Duvet is the only correct way to sleep in one bed together

We have separate duvets. I got sick of one of us curling up with the queen size duvet and be toasty warm while the other one of us froze. It's wonderful.

I've had separate blankets for years. He likes quilts i hate them. Works out great! I also use a blanket rather than a pillow, so much nicer for my neck

Those square pillows are still very annoying, they are either too thin, or too thick, never inbetween.

Lol I thought having separate duvets was normal everywhere. Why would you share a single duvet?

I find them way too soft with not enough height/support. Even if U fold & mould, after being asleep for an hour or two the pillow loses its shape & then is too flat causing U to either wake up uncomfortable or wake up next morning with a stiff neck. But I love the individual duvetts - no longer have to share with a blanket stealer....

Went to a holiday with few friends to Dortmund last year, my friend accidentally booked 2 rooms with double beds instead of 2 rooms with 4 singles and we had to share a bed 😂 the only thing that made that kind of ok was the separate duvets, so very nice for having them separate.
