I have a system programming exam right now and I can't thank you enough for this explanation. God richly bless you, my dear teacher.

Syntax - rules of grammar while semantic - meaning of sentence. sum = a + b is correct syntactically but semantically incorrect because a character cannot be added to number as it makes no sense.

There is a huge error in explanation .Syntax analyzer validates grammar not semantic analyzer.
