As Disney World Reopens Do You Feel Safe Visiting?
Walt Disney World reopening has been on the mind of everyone since it closed in March. As the global pandemic grew in scope, health and safety in public spaces has become more of a concern than ever, especially in places that attract hundreds of thousands of tourists like Walt Disney World.

As Disney World reopens, starting with Disney Springs and eventually extending to theme parks, it is entirely possible we see a summer return for a phased Disney World reopening. Knowing that Disney World is taking health and safety measures for the return of guests to Disney Springs that require everyone be temperature checked, enhanced cleaning methods of public spaces and all guests and employees must wear face masks, do you feel safe visiting?

The pandemic has changed a lot about the way we feel about gathering in public places and whether or not people decide to return to Disney World as it reopens is a personal choice. The Kingdom Report team recently got asked by a viewer when we would feel safe visiting Disney World again, knowing what we know right now.

We're confident that Disney World reopening is doing so with the utmost caution and care, but that doesn't change outside influences and factors that need to be considered before making a trip to stay and play at Disney World.

It's a Disney World reopening discussion you don't want to miss.

I am not worried at all, the grocery store is probably more dangerous for me than Disney. Not that being said, I won’t be taking my immune suppressed Grand daughter anytime soon but I also don’t take her to the grocery store!

I have a thought, and it may not be a popular thought, but this is how I feel. We live in a world of uncertainty. We could be anywhere, and some unstable individuals could open fire and cause harm. We could walk across the street, and a car could strike us.

I work in health care, and handwashing has been in practice for decades. Have we followed suit? No. However, to live in fear is not the answer. It is my thought that we are each responsible for mandating our health and immune system. This does not mean that we should not exercise caution, but that has always been the norm. I believe that Disney has always maintained the stance of health-first, and for that reason, I feel safe to cruise and to visit the parks. Don't hate me.

I would go today if Disneyland was open. Wearing a mask, sanitizing, being aware of your surroundings are all things I do and will do when I can go back to the parks. Plus fewer crowds means a better experience for the people that are there. Hahaha. I'd like to know how the guest experience was after 9/11 for people: how empty the parks were, how the lines were, the guest experience, etc.

Great to hear your perspective on openings of events at Disney. I will tell you that I enjoyed the Smuggler's Run opening as it felt so special and the cast members helped build the excitement. Since there will be no parades or shows at the beginning this will remove a lot of the magical ambiance that you experience even if you don't sit down to see these things. I am still so excited about the re-opening:)

I personally would not feel safe myself especially as a cast member. I am a trainer as well and so we have to relearn everything and spend at least a month learning what is required to pass on. I was told by my Union and one of my Mgrs that it will be extremely long before Disneyland can reopen. Especially since we have 32 Unions on the Resort that have to have video negotiations before we can even go back to work. Then there is seniority based return and reduced needed staffing etc. Plus there is many CM's that have since the Furlough found good paying work from home jobs and have no plans to return anyhow. Then there is older at risk aged CM's or at risk people like myself who may not be able to return to work again creating a slow down in personnel. As well as then hiring people to fill those roles again . The first ones coming back I was told will be Mgt team and trainers and just at Disneyland it would take a min of a month to reopen. We all want to come back but it is up to the State and when we get to level 4 which is vaccine or therapeutics last I was told. I believ shopping is going to be first parks here on the west coast last.

Yes here in Lemoore ca you should see many people walking in stores no masks and not following instruction so I think the ones that get infected are the ones not wearing masks and not washing there hands

What it boils down to ultimately it will be up to the guest if you fear going don’t go and is it worth the risk to you and to your family members that’s the question but as long as we follow the new rules we should be fine it’s a very open area and also depends on the weather

I don’t agree everything is the same only difference is the wearing of masks and keeping clean that’s all a few changes but I still see aDisney the same way

Well people are going to get it that’s inevitable this is why it’s up to us the guest to follow the rules as for me I will be there I have been waiting and I trust Disney
