Donation organs means donating organs prior to death (not after death)
Taking out organs is causing death. It might cause the unnecessary death of the donor.

However, in some cases, this can lead to a conflict of interest where the prioritization of organ health takes precedence over the individual patient's health. It's a complicated issue that healthcare professionals need to navigate ethically.

It's important to note that typically we're informed that healthcare professionals prioritize treating their patients and saving lives over any other consideration. However, there have been numerous isolated incidents where some medical professionals have disregarded patient health in favor of organ donation such as the case with my parents. Upon admission into the ER, I was asked more than 3 times if they were organ donors when I hadn't even been briefed of their condition or status. This was within 30 minutes upon arrival. The doctors waited 3 hours before initiating hypothermic protocol and I was told by then it's not even worth it. Eventually, I told them that no organs would be donated and they became irate over it. I spoke with other families and this was the same procedure at the hospital in our community.

If you wish to become an organ donor, it's best to have it specified in your will or advanced directive rather than on your driver's license or state ID. This ensures that your wishes are clear and that your health is always the top priority.

If there are so many people waiting for a matching donor, even if it took an extra month or two to make sure I'm "dead" there would still be someone to take my organs! I go to the hospital to get treated for my injuries or other kind of health problems...not for a mercy killing!

Is there any benefit for a person to become a live organ donator?

I think if the donor received some of the money usually provided to others by the recipients more people would donate.

Also, hospitals need to be showing educational videos such as this on at least 1 television instead of news/games, etc.
