I always record ideas like that because I can't remember them either. I can usually remember the notes but not the exact rhythm.

Do you, or anybody else, have tips on how to remember what you play? I'll be just messing around improvising and I'll play some lick that I really like, but I have no idea what I just played. Thanks.
