President Donald Trump is in Texas to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey, now downgraded to a tropical storm.
It has brought flooding to the state, leaving at least nine people dead.
Thousands have been forced to flee their homes in the Houston area while rescuers are trying to reach others that remain stranded.

The crowd are loving him. Excellent work President Trump. They have been through a hurricane and take the time to welcome you. President Trump is extremely popular. Not that the BBC would ever let on.

_"it's going well"_ What's going well? We're 10 seconds in and this is already just a collection of random phrases.

_"and I want to thank you for coming out"_ Why? Who's benefiting here? Have they all turned up to help in relief efforts? Oh, they're the people caught up in this. OK.

_"We're going to get you back and operating immediately. Thank you everybody. What a crowd, what a turnout."_ How is he planning on getting people operating immediately? What does that even mean? And then he moves straight into thanking them AGAIN for turning up to see him. I had to check another source to see whether he really did this or it was the result of editing. He really did this.

Note that the next piece was cut out here where he thanks the governor and senator of Texas. I'm not sure why this was removed. That's what the "total co-operative effort" was about.

_"Again, we will see you soon"_ Wait, he's already leaving? I thought he was there to "take care"? And why the "Again"? He didn't say anything about seeing them soon before. It's like he's reinforcing a statement he hasn't made yet.

_"I will tell you, this is historic, it's epic, what happened"_ I've never known anyone describe a disaster as "epic". What do you mean, Mr Trump? Are you saying it's poetic? Perhaps you're using the word informally, in which case you're saying how much you enjoyed it?

_"but you know what? It happened in Texas, and Texas can handle anything."_ Well if Texans can handle this then why did _you_ show up, Mr Trump?

Honestly dispointed in Trump here. I was waiting for him to take out the hits to bring the people back up. The classics Lying Ted, Crooked Hillary, Drain the swamp, Fake news, but all we got was a great crowd and good luck speech. Can't blame him for this hurricane. If the liberals didn't block him from building the wall hurricane Hugo would have never entered Texas. Build the wall!!!
