EZ Dragonfly Nymph, Holsinger's Fly Shop, Episode 543

I enjoy finding different things to tie and a dragonfly nymph is not the norm for me. We have lots of them here in my area in both the streams and the ponds. However, when they are most active is during the summer months when I shut down my trout fishing due to the heat. I keep saying I want to take up carp fishing on the fly but I just don't take the time as of yet. This fly would work great for carp.

Thanks for watching and supporting our shop and channel all these years.

That is a great pattern, and I am definitely going to tie up a few of those. Thanks Shawn.

Hey Shawn. Excellent dragonfly nymph that’s gonna work world wide. In central NJ we have the D&R Canal stretching between the lower Raritan River and the Delaware River around Princeton. It’s been dredged recently in certain sections and some where I really liked to go. Anyway, these fly will catch everything swimming in there other than the bigger pike. Hope it brings some nice ones to your net on your trip.
