The more you (as a developer) know about planning and design yourself the more value you can bring.

Conversely, the less you know and the more you’re solely reliant on your team, the greater chance it’ll all go tits-up.

When the Local Authority and their planners are also on-board working collaboratively then you’re really cooking on gas.

Note for young people: ‘Cooking on Gas’ is a slogan thought up by the natural gas industry in the 1940’s to convince people to use gas, rather than electricity, on their new-fangled stoves.
