It's time for some good old fashioned pull advice. Hopefully this will steer you right if you're a little confused and serve as a good reminder for any gacha veterens out there.

As a casual player who throws 5 bucks at the daily login subscription thingy like....2-3 times a year, have adopted a hard rule regarding Constellations/Mindscapes for the 5/S characters.
I don't even look at em. EVER. Not ONCE. I have NO IDEA what the max potential of any S-rank is, or will be. Because I will NEVER pull for a character enough to actually get more than 1, so its best that I just don't know, and pull for who I just like playing. Ignorance is Bliss.

Never played any modern gacha games until ZZZ. Failed my 50/50 on Ellen, but I really like Soukaku, and got her C6 already, so I decided to pivot to Zhu Yuan since she works great with a lot of the characters I was already building.

to be completely fair, at first I was saving my polys for Jane Doe... UNTIL I SAW THAT SETH USE A CHARGEBLADE. Now Jane is a bonus, m6 Seth is a must have for a chargeblade main in monster hunter like me

Also remember that A ranks will appear in the fading signal shop, so even if you don't get an A rank during a banner (looking at you, Anton!) or pulling on the banner is risky, then there is always this way to guarantee your copy.

I think one thing we also tend to overlook in ZZZ compared to any other hoyoverse games, is the prevalent synergies based on factions/types. It makes team building a lot clearer to you, and less of a hassle of trying to scroll thru guides and find the "meta" synergy. It also makes it so you are way less pressured to build specific characters and allows you to have more flexibility when it comes to pulling for who you want (not that I disagree with your third point but I think it's a lot more flexible in this game compared to all other Hoyoverse games). Either way as a F2P I'mma still try my luck to pull for almost everyone when I can cause I genuinely enjoy most of the designs so far!

I wanted Nekomata so FREAKING bad that I just grinded the game to lvl 35, maxed the battle pass and even did some small spending to get that 300 standard pull free character. And on the way to that 300 mark, I got not one, not two, but THREE COPIES of her signature W-Engine. Proud Nekomata main now ^w^

Thx for the advice, I started playing gacha 3 years ago, and I am still finding a way to utilise the game currency to enjoy the game at the same time not feeling broke. My take is never go for weapon because mathematically it’s the lowest chance that u can get what u want, so only get characters is my usual practice when I play this kinda gacha

Never build pity if you are on your guaranteed but building 30 pity to avoid a bit of Corin+Billy is understandable. Zhu Yuan being a top 2 carry is never a dead pull if you bink one in your first 10 pull.

Thanks for the video man. I’m quite new to the gacha space and was gonna go for both Qingyi and Jane. Now I’m just gonna save for Jane as I want and prefer her design more over Qingyi. I can get another S rank stunner.

Pulling further on zhu yuan banner is very tempting cause nicoles mindscapes would be amazing for my team. It may break my chances for jane tho

I built so much pity for Zhu Yuan (I have 18 pulls until S guarantee) I would have like to have her if I got her early to pair with Nicole but now I’m worried about missing Jane’s banner, I think a physical disruption team would be really good and I already have Corin built somewhat decent and then maybe use Rina since I have her too but the main goal is get Nekomata with the guarantee at 300 and then probably Nicole as support
