Decoding the Future EU's AI Regulations

Показать описание
The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Statistical Machine Learning, raises significant concerns. Questions arise regarding how to ensure that AI models are used appropriately, unbiased, and do not pose reliability, security, or fairness issues. To address these concerns, national and international organizations, along with governments, are developing standards and regulations to promote the responsible use of AI. While some standards are voluntary, regulations have legal force and must be followed.
Various sectors, including healthcare and security, enforce regulatory certifications to ensure AI compliance with specific requirements. In recent years, numerous regulatory initiatives have emerged to control AI impacts across industrial sectors. The European Commission proposed AI regulation in April 2021, aiming to establish a global legal framework, currently undergoing validation.
This document aims to provide understanding and recommendations to actors navigating AI regulation. It reflects the expertise of the Impact AI collective and complements previous publications. Ten compliance recommendations are provided, along with practical information to guide implementation efforts.
