I am falling in love. As a teen, it's quite new because it's my first love..

but he treats me like women we're treated back in the day.. gentle. In this generation, im grateful to find him..

he appreciates my everything, my scars, my imperfections and perfections, my accomplishments, and all..

everyone doesn't really see why i date him because of his looks, but his looks speak volumes to me, which are deafening..

His eyes are precious blue, his long blonde hair.. i love them while he praises my big brown doe eyes and long dreadlocks..

When im with him, im on cloud 9. When im away from him, i long for his presence..

i question sometimes whether i should still long for another soul to intertwine with mine or if i should be forever cultivating love towards myself solely instead. i think the latter is of great importance, and i will strive to climb the staircase of self-love, no matter whom i'm with or without. however, that hint of longing for a lover to hold me in their safe, warm arms while i drift off to sleep at night remains. a home within my self-built home. we shall see.
