My 12 year old grandson loves Metallica.
He’s learning to play guitar.
His views are still expanding.

One of my favorite Metallica songs. Yes, a classic. Appreciated them more after watching a couple documentaries. Remarkable. Great reaction. Your knowledge enhances my appreciation of you. 😊

Oh yeah, the version of this with Elton John and Miley Cyrus and YoYo Ma and Chad Smith, that was produced by Andrew Watt (he was the other guy playing guitar at Ozzy's HoF induction the other night), is fucking amazing. Great video for it too!

It’s got vocal over tracks layering the vocal harmonies.

This was Metallica showing that they can play any genre...a beautiful song that never gets old...i love heavy metal and hard rock bands doing ballads...it's my sweet spot. Fuckers that can play hard but choose to show emotion? I'm in...

Two songs I recommend to anyone just getting into Metallica; Bleeding Me and live the version of The Day That Never Comes from S&M 2.

Then listen to every track with Cliff. Then his songs played by the symphony.

The Cliffest of Burtons 🤘🧙‍♂🤘

So glad I got to see him play a few times.

I like your new(newer?) style of starting off with fullscreen video of song and nothing else, then after a 10 seconds or so you start talking, then bring yourself in. Little things like this add a lot of production value. Kudos.

I think the shortness of the verses before the repetition of the bridge gives a hypnotic effect. There are no rules in music. His voice reminds me a bit of Ian Anderson's from Jethro Tull. I was surprised to find Metallica singing a ballad. Though I don't know their music well, that's not the impression I had of their genre. I like it.

An underrated gem: The Outlaw Torn from their older S&M (Symphony & Metallica) album, or their newer one. Musically I think you'll appreciate it. Cheers!

Nice reaction. Yes, they have been touring for a couple years now. Maybe you can react to one of their songs live? How they sound today. You will find a lot of very high quality live shows at the Metallica Youtube channel. :)

James Hetfield the lead singer has what’s called a “man stash” which is a handle bar mustache with the chin strap beard parts. HHH from wwe used to wear one because Lemmy (the lead singer of Motörhead) had one, it’s big in the motorcycle community… and gay community. This song is so much slower than most of their catalog but it’s literally to point out that when slowed down they are playing classical music like Bach or Beethoven, everything is based in a violin/ piano riff when you break all of it down.

Uh-oh this is my guys I used to see these guys at the stone in San Francisco and at Ruthie's in I used to bitch when I had to pay five bucks and that covered two drinks. James gave me my Kill Em All album at that stone. They were broke back then they lived on losers lunch. Hanging out at the church Street Studios with bayloff. Wow I miss my youth
