The Rock competing in his first match since 2004, the buildup to The Rock vs John Cena, CM Punk’s rise to the top, Zack Ryder getting over on YouTube, Mark Henry’s Hall of Pain, Randy Orton and Christian having a super underrated feud, Rey Mysterio becoming WWE Champion(for an hour lol), Kane becoming Demon Kane again, and so much more.

I believe this is when WWE started to slow down product specific for the these two wrestlers. As a fan it felt like things started to take a hold towards other superstars cause of the matches & the rosters they had. That’s one of the reasons but when Rock challenge Cena the night after Wrestlemania 27 we had to wait a whole year plus 2011 year wasn’t the best year it felt like a long pause until Wrestlemania 28 came around when they officially had the match.
