For those struggling with this, you MUST have the Ebonchill equipped to see the NPC/dragon.

It seems to be different for each person... mine was in a building at the inn....
You will see a yellow dot on the mini-map unless its indoors then it will be grey.
It might help to disable all other icons on the mini map just in case something might be covering it... mine was partially covered

For those of you that are confused. This isn't the only memory that you can see. If you don't see the dragon, keep searching all the neutral areas in the city. I found mine in the central tavern. It was a high elf male I believe.

FYI.... to pick up the quest, you need to switch to frost instead of fire of arcane.. so that the ebonchill is equipped.

You need Ebonchill equipped, I'm not sure if you need to be specced into Frost but I don't think so, and there are multiple ghosts.

These ghosts are placed at different places around Dalaran and are easily found by the dot on the mini-map that shows them. It will be either yellow or grey depending on whether or not you are in the same space as the ghost.

There should only be 1 ghost active at any given time and they change every day.

If you are having a tough time, tried above the herbalism shop and behind khadgar, try logging off and back in, i finally got a yellow dot on the mini-map and blinks, a gnome, was on the balcony above the art shop

The only reflection I see is the mirror image spell. Yellow dot but no dice. Did speak to an excited librarian who conjured up a Sunrunner horse.

Mine was behinde Kaghar i violet citadel up the stairs on the left

You have to be frost to find this just reload you ui when you switch specs.

Look at the minimap as you move close to each building. The dot on the minimap won’t appear if you’re not close enough, I think.

Mine was on the second floor of the Violet Citadel.

Can anyone answer this question for me pls and ty: How do I get the memories of ebonchil of I abandon it and then go to restart it only to see I cannot get it back?

ye great video but with one slight problem the NPC doesnt have the quest for me and I have the ebonchill staff so can u guys tell me if im doing smt wrong or is it a bug or smt ? ty vm !

Nothing remotely like that appears in my quest. I decided to speak to every NPC in Dalaran. After 45 min and talking to everyone I could, I still have the quest incomplete. I guess for this quest you just have to be REALLY lucky.
