The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, reviewed by Samantha Nelson. Narrated by Clint Gage.

Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power does a great job portraying Sauron’s machinations and his impact on those he manipulates, but too much time is spent on disconnected subplots delivering only mediocre intrigue and thin characters. A tighter season would have been great, but the moments of powerful pathos and dramatic action the season does deliver are bogged down by scenes focused on places and people who will only become important later in the saga of Middle-earth.

IGN ratings make absolutely no sense. The content of the review doesn't match with the rating at all. Season 2 deserves at least a 7/10 with some episodes being an 8 or higher.
