I love how Goku’s all bewildered and has a WTF look on his face but at the same time the difference in power is so big he just effortlessly catches the punch at the same time.

Let's not even count transformations, it's still amazing how easily Goku can grab an angry Trunks's arm and stop him from punching. They're both in base and Goku's completely relaxed and doesn't even try. The power gap is extraordinary at this point.

Man Trunks punching Goku was one of the few scenes in whole Super arc that gave chills like mad... I knew something real big was coming.... 😎😎😎

It only gets serious and emotional whenever Future Trunks shows up. Rest of time, there was no real sense of fear for the characters. It's just power up after power up.
