Actually as far as I know the water thing is because they get all the water they need from breast milk and their kidneys are not developed well enough until 6 months, so giving water on top of what they receive from the milk will be excess water in their body and may cause water intoxication which can be fatal. Kudos to Deven for getting it all right by the way! We love to see involved fathers.

You can give a few ounces of water at 6 months but not necessary. When they turn 1, they go to sippy cups & whole milk. You can also do water & up to 4 oz of 100% juice

I mean if you do everything what the "books" are saying. He's right, but the reality it's not like that. I wanted to do everything right with my fist so I informed myself.
But the grandmothers (my mom, and husband mom) huh😂😂😂 they was right. So after all, my baby drink water after 1 month (cold boiled water), honey in like tea when was sick about 9-10 months. And I didn't actually was worried about cutting grapes/blubbery etc.
This is how we grow up and this is how my baby grow up. We still alive.

My ginecolog (an old woman, from Russia) always tell me to listen to the grandmas, because in the past, baby's has a better chance to survive when a grandma was in the house. And they grow healthier. (she recommended me to give my baby water too, I didn't wanted to listen to my grandmothers, but after I heard her, I did it)



But I really recommend to make a first aid for baby's/small children. Because baby's will and are chook on everything, so it's great to not panic and know what to do.
I did it, and I am grateful I did.



But you doing great, and just be yourself and don't panic. You do what you think is the best for the baby.
Because after all we as parents will always make mistakes and learn from it! ❤

Breast milk is about 87% water. Formula is about 85% water which is why babies should have water until 6 months, but even so it’s reccomend to consult your paediatrician in when you can actually start

wow hes gonna be a great dad mom is very lucky.. I only say that bc ive done basically all the raising of my about to be 1 year old and these next 2 weeks till his birthday im feeling such a growth as not only a mom but as an individual. my sons father is absolutely great and is very involved in his life. I fantasize for what this 1 minute video showed. I may have ranted a bit but that baby is going to flourish in this house

You can give a baby water at the 6 months mark which is the time you start them on solid foods. A year is a little _too_ dramatic 😂
