Boating the Labyrinth of Puget Sound Backwaters, Part I [Ep. 09 - 2022]

After touring my home port of Olympia WA, I set sail for the lesser known waters of the Sound. Areas that are skipped by most cruisers. The trail less travelled. I find some very pleasant 'lake-like' sailing, and calm waters. Anchorages are good (Eld Inlet), and bad (Hope Island). This is part 1 of my explorations of South Puget Sound.

Thank you so much! After watching the news, I stumbled on your relaxing video. My husband and I bought a boat in the northwest two years ago, and we are always looking for hidden adventures!

Not a bad tour of my playground! Had to LOL at "nobody goes down Eld Inlet." You did miss Steamboat Annie's, one of Oly's best waterfront restaurants, when you mentioned Boston Harbor. Also "Geoduck" is pronounced like "gooey-duck" not "geo-duck."

Cool beans. I dig how you explain a little about where you are in each place. I heard you say May in this video and now it's August. I wonder how far along you are now.

Love your vids wish there were more of them. Would love some more “daily living aboard a small yacht vids. Cooking sleeping provisioning etc. In large part because the S28 is on my VERY short list of boats I’m considering buying. Anyway great choice of boat (and cruising grounds). I’ll keep watching so long as you keep posting 🙂. Fair winds !
