I was expecting a video where Venus and Mar’s orbit around the sun got them closer to earth, not them actually rotating around earth.

If Venus was at a better distance it wouldn't help because the damage has already been done by the sun.

(Rocky) Water planets: Europa comes to mind, as there is ample evidence that the ice on that moon breaks all the time and water flows before re-freezing. It's a moon-wide ocean, right in Jupiter's neighborhood! Many scientists have it in their sights as a contender for life to possibly have formed under the ice crust.
