But in my school we still use E's and F's and we even have G's. It just goes ABCDEFG with A being the best and G being the worst.

My school growing up used E instead of F. It meant the same thing to everyone, so nobody really cared. I think they mightve been trying to make it sound like it was closer to a D in order to encourage people to bring their grades up, like if you had an E mid-semester it might be subconsciously slightly more encouraging when you feel like its closer to D and you could bring that grade back up to passing

In Australia E is a grade. F is used in high school and so is E. In Primary/Elementary it is A, B, C, D, E.

Here in the uk primary it’s A-E for quality of work and 1-5 for your effort and for seniors it’s just a score 1-9

But my school uses “E”

*And doesn’t use F’s*

At my school we have E’s instead of F’s so if you fail you would just get an E. Is anyone else’s school like this???

At my school it’s EPAL
E - Excellent
P - Proficient
A - Acceptable
L - Limited
I - Insufficient

Honestly it makes much more sense because I have no idea what the American grade letters stand for

In the UK, we don't use letters anymore we use numbers from 1-9 (1 being the lowest and 9 being at the top of the class) although U means fail. There are the practical lessons (also known as BETEC) which also have a different grading system which goes pass, merit and distinction) and for college we have either sixth form (which is the academic side of education and you could go to university) or a vocational college (which is the practical side of education and gives more experience of your job that you want to do. They do T-Levels etc and you don't have to go to university). We also have different ways of grading which are EDEXEL, AQA etc and the exams are called GCSEs/Mocks which we have in year 10/11 (we also have years instead of grades)
