Itโ€™s been a long month this week. With big floods, Yellowstone closures, clean-up, and lots of extra work, I needed a little break.

As always, taking to the outdoors was the best way to shake off my crappy mood and gain perspective on how great my life is.

The National Forest around us is closed while the Forest Service accesses roads, bridges, and trails, so Anders and I went over the hill toward Bozeman and walked up Chestnut Mountain.

Flowers decorated the hillsides, trees rustled in the breeze, and we could see six snow-capped mountain ranges from the top.

It was just what I needed to dust off the week, greet summer with a smile, and be ready to get back to work.
