This West that song almost makes me cry it's so true. Back in the day, a mule used in a coal mine was more valuable than the coal miner.
It was harder to replace a good mule. Always great to hear you guys playing and singing! "Dark as a Dungeon" is a song written by singer-songwriter Merle Travis.
It is a lament about the danger and drudgery of being a coal miner in a shaft mine.

Amazing tune that has a very special meaning to me because both of my grandfather's were coal miners and I would really love the music to perform this with my band!
