Quick announcement: this will be the second to last video from my gap year that I post on the channel!
I'm headed to college quite soon and will begin to transition back to content primarily focused on my life at school (wohoo). I have one more video up my sleeve that I'll be posting later this month, but it's a bittersweet feeling to be closing this chapter and starting the next. So many incredible things are on the horizon!

I hope you're all doing well (:
Much love,
Talk soon,
Max

This message hits so hard Max. No matter where you are or your situation if you can find and surround yourself with the right people and create a positive environment you'll find happiness anywhere, it's not just dependent on what place is statistically "better". I'm really beginning to learn in my own life that it's possible to build the world you want to live in by surrounding yourself with likeminded people that share the same goal. Incredible work as always.

I totally agree. The more you travel, the more you realize that we are all the same. We do struggle and suffer for different things, human basic things. There might be some aspects of our country that we would like to change, but we still love it, we love where we come from and is up to us to make that change possible.
P.S. Max, in the last shot, everyone can see the name and number of the girl. Let's hope no one pranks her.

Something that I’ve been struggling with for a long time is just accepting the fact that those mundane experiences won’t happen again. To often I find myself wishing I could be back at certain places, at certain times, with certain people. Like, I wish I could just travel back and time and be in those moments once again. And Im coming to the realization that that’s why I need to be so present in these moments. Cause those moments can never be recreated in the exact same way, And i think there really is something beautiful about that.

The vibe, the reality, the message what else is in this amazing video, the editing, and so on, however, I love how max shows us something that most young people are finding and even learning. So thank you so much for sharing it. The great feelings from Colombia.

9:50 is a really interesting concept. the saying “you create your own luck” could be applied here in the sense that if you were to go to Denmark, the odds of you finding happy people may increase depending on your situation. It’s so easy to get caught in the cycle of what’s “the most” or “the best” but really, you personally have the single biggest impact on what people you end up around, however I think the environment you place yourself in is also a significant factor.

Seeing Max grow up with us is truly a one of a kind experiences I've had. Being his age and growing up with him, patiently waiting for his videos is a, let's be honest here, one of the smallest parts of my life, but it's there! Max, I don't want to be cheesy, but you truly are an inspiration to a big part of people and I think some of us can't thank you enough for what you've already done, what you're doing and what you will hopefully continue doing in the future.

These small experiences are exactly what we love you for. And here I am, saying that you truly are representing the greater and better part of humanity and simply thank you for that!

Followed you for the Stanford application and stayed because it really looks like you know how to live. I love your reflection and you really are being great ideas and values to the table. Keep it up!

I wanted to say all your gap year videos are so amazing! The experiences you have are so inspiring and I guess it feels so human, raw and real which is something that the world needs and appreciates. Tbh I feel like all your videos are great, I guess what I mean is it conveys your own human experience and the fact you have the courage to film yourself, self reflect and revealing them on YT is something you should be proud of, don't understimate your courage!

Also congrats on going to college, from my experience as a current college/uni student, my advice is try and meet new people and study hard, ur gonna be great.😀

I'm glad you are enjoying these gap yeat experiences because these memories are once in a lifetime.

talking about that fear of missing out or always searching for something greater… wow <3 humans are so beautifully connected you prove this timelessly.

The message you tried conveying hits hard. Happiness is just a state of one's mind and not merely dependent on the place where you live or what your current situation is. These measurements they use to compare people’s lives in different nations don’t portray an actual image of how each individual’s life is. Being humans, we all face struggles and have our problems.

Everyone should create their happiness and not rely on anyone to do so. Don't forget to make people smile as you never know what they're going through :)

I know that Max said "it's nice knowing that i'll never get back to those moments" but it made me sad

Really enjoyed the video. It captured a true sense of the maturity you have gained. Your self-awareness and your willingness to clearly articulate it is a testimony to your growth. Keep going brother and always seek your best. P.S. I was distracted by the blue nail polish on your pinky Much love back at you. Bill

By travelling to Guatemala, I realized that even people who live in shacks and who don’t have a lot are some of the happiest, most content, and culturally rich people. I think the biggest thing that creates happiness here is community, and this really shows that money and physical items aren’t the most important in life.

Hey Max,
I really resonated with your thoughts about the uniqueness of the moments we go through and that we should always live them to their fullest extent because they only happen once.
I’ve been watching your videos for years and I just want to congratulate you on your content but mostly on your ability to enjoy time and experiences by yourself. I hope you continue to grow, but never forget your essence.
I look forward to meeting you one day.
Um abraço de Portugal.
Francisco
