Alpha Centauri works differently from three body problem even though it have three stars. The common gravitational point between the first two stars is resolved by the third star unlike in the problem in which there is no constant gravitational point for any of the three revolves.

The interesting thing about this is that the "chaos" referred to here is not the same chaos that we see as the absence of order, what is meant instead is a regularity that is so detailed that our minds are unable to see the regularity, the pattern is difficult to see. (I forget the exact explanation sentence, but the essence is the same). If I'm not mistaken, the chaos referred to in the three-body problem refers to chaos theory. And the word "chaos" here is meant as the opposite of the word cosmo/cosmic. In essence, this theory explains that every change has an impact, and there is no insignificant impact as we often say when small changes occur. And because humans actually have difficulty seeing small things, small changes like this are difficult to see or predict.

I don't remember the details, but chaos theory emerged after the first weather prediction machine was created long before 2000s. When it was first used, the man entered all the necessary data in the form of numbers, and of course the machine showed weather predictions quickly (in those days, it is quick). However, when the man repeated the simulation again, he actually got a different prediction. And no matter how many times he repeated it, he never got the same prediction. It's very strange because the input is always the same, but the output is always different. Some time later it was discovered that the reason was because the machine actually had three more blank digits after the comma, and the number after the comma entered always leaving last three digits empty.

This answer was difficult to accept at that time because in simple mathematics, the numbers after the commas were insignificant and could even be considered non-existent. And the fact that the number after the entered comma is still not enough for the repeated simulations to produce the same predictions shows how important little things really are. And this discovery shows how detailed the universe really is. Therefore, chaos theory can sometimes be considered another form of the butterfly effect. So if someone says you are chaotic, you can say "Your lowly mind isn't great enough to comprehend my order." 🗿

problem with 3 bodies problem isnt that it has anything wrong because dispite all the chaos, it can still be relatively stable, problem arises when you run the simulation in reverse, the same simulation that was you were running, but in reverse those bodies follow entirely different path from what they initially took.

The three body problem is only a problem in simulations that don't factor in the fact that nothing in the universe just spontaneously appears and starts orbiting objects like our simulations do. The universe was put into motion at the start of the big bang, and every object in the universe has been in constant motion since the big bang. So there's already gravity influencing any object at all times
