A really amazing callback and Easter egg. Show's Goku's genius mind, despite his seemingly dumb innocence, and how after all these years, and all that power, he still reveres the memory of Gohan. Alsooo...imo Super lacked a lot of nuanced qualities, and often felt like fan fiction (lol come at me bro) but this shows how the writters have the ability to have depth, heart, and connection to the series at large and its frustrating that those qualities weren't more frequently imployed.

Goku has always been this genuine. It’s the reason why I beat Budokai Tenkaichi 3. If you try to leave the story mode; he gets a little disappointed as if a friend was actually leaving him. He’s such a good dude 😭
