I quit Roblox in 2021 because I watched the People Make Games video about the abhorrent reality of how Roblox is basically a digital company town. That day, I decided to stop endorsing a company that actively facilitates this kind of exploitation, and dropped the game cold-turkey. It wasn't because I was bored, hated a specific update, or growing out of the game (I was actually trying to become a dev on the platform myself), but because Roblox is a scummy company that continued to grow exponentially worse after I left.

Roblox has given me literally no reason to return to the platform, and I never intend to return to the game.

The boredom factor applies to me so well. I've played nearly every good and interesting game on the platform and there is so many that show up that are complete copies of originals with simple and weak twists. If you searched up simulator back a couple years ago there would be simulators you could play for hours on end without boredom but now there are simulators that are just copied and pasted EVERYWHERE. Roblox is really only fun now when I find a game I've played before that I get an urge to play again. Roblox still manages to fail to get me surprised about anything and if I do get surprised it's usually about something negative added. Roblox is now just a copy and paste content bot farm with no more enjoyment factor to it and it's just lost the taste it used to have.

The creator behind Lethal Company (Zeekerss) started out as a dev by making a bunch of games on Roblox, A Lucid Dream, Silent Dark and Light Bulb to name a couple. They usually didn't get a lot of concurrent players, especially since they're all singleplayer.

Now Lethal Company gets 120K average players (which is actively rising) and reached an all time peak of 240, 817 players. I think It's safe to say that Roblox devs will find way more success if they put their games on steam.

Answer to when i'm quitting Roblox: Probably within the next 1-3 years.
I started playing Roblox back in 2014, and after 2018 ended it just started to get boring and the Roblox updates actually sucked. Then there's the Roblox moderation which actually sucks; people get banned for saying " Hi " nowadays, so yeah i'm definitely not staying on for much longer.

Now, if I had a chance to time travel back to when my favorite games were still popular, say for example:
Tornado Alley Classic
Survive the Disasters Classic
and Stop it, Slender!
I definitely would, but yeah Roblox just hasn't been the same since 2018.

It used to be fun, but now I just can't have fun anymore without playing with friends. Playing by myself doesn't feel that good anymore, and I feel like the bad updates have become worse. I quit during the pandemic but started playing with my friends as it was fun. Now it's just finding a good game for like 2 days and then switching to the next game. Only horror games seem to interest me now, not simulator or tycoon games.

I quit Roblox on September 5th 2023 because I was going into my freshmen year of HS and I needed to focus on other stuff in life. I logged out also because of boredom. It is not the same as when I started on January 7th, 2019…

I personally just stopped playing roblox, because i thought my presence in the games were making others uncomfortable. So i just stopped and i just want to go back, but for some reason i just, can't... i remember playing roblox all day all alone and i had so much fun even thoug i was literally playing something hella boring, i still held on cuz i wanted to reach something in the game so hard, that it kept me there all day and i was just grinding untill i got it, and i did it multible times and it was painful everytime, but it just gave me a reason to live for, but now.. it's just. All gone i can't grind anymore, even if i want to i just lost the pain that it gave and i just want to play with someone and then i realise i have noone to play with and i am just sad and i feel like i am left out from everything. 6 years of playing roblox constantly and it just ends like this 😢

I quitted roblox back in 19, it was way too boring and the homepage was full of unoriginal games that weren't as good as it used to be before. I personally feel like back then the games were much more simple and I like something about that, roblox back then had much more depth and was way more fun

Ah, the physics update, where corner clipping and pretty much any type of clipping got removed. I'm still pissed about that update but roblox is just too fun to quit.

Agreed, Roblox just feels soulless now, I see very talented developers getting overshadowed by those braindead games made for 3 years old and it's sad to see youtubers like yours truly, Lankybox, promoting them. I just feel like Roblox keeps promoting awful things and the shit happening on their platform and it just feels so lifeless and tasteless now. Ignore all these bot comments made by edgy 8 year olds, and just know you're doing the right thing by leaving this shitty platform and driving it further into it's slow and miserable downfall.

It's very sad how others are quitting roblox, this might make roblox shut down because roblox has 23billion dollars worth of money, and if people will quit, the website will not make much money, and sbut down.
