You have probably heard of UBI, but this video specifically focuses on a less discussed subject: The concept of An Attention Economy and Andrew Yang's proposal to create a Department of Attention Economy.

Freedom Dividen, Medicare for all, fight Climate change, end Citizens United and replace GDP with a measurement that shows average wages to the poverty level, how the elderly are doing in retirement, education levels, mental health, healthcare, infrastructure ect.

Thanks for bringing attention to candidate Yang. Also, consider Yang's proposal to give each registered US voter a subsidized $100 per year to donate to whichever candidate(s) they determine will best represent their interests. That amounts to approx. $26 billion worth of campaign funding in the hands of US voters. This "proletariat lever" easily outweighs the 3.4 billion of total corporate super-pac lobbying in 2018.    #yang2020

As soon as i hear this idea it seems so obvious.
This proposal, like ubi, could be FOUNDATIONAL to solving all our other problems.
Take climate change: if you're living paycheck to paycheck, you don't have the mental energy to spare... on the future. -- So ubi, of all things, may actually be a necessary first step to tackling climate change.
Take racism: Economic insecurity has been scientifically proven to lower people's IQ's and make them more xenophobic and more susceptible to bad ideas -- like authoritarian rule.
Similarly, if we and our young are virtually hypnotized by our smartphones, and as a result of them, what issues can we tackle together as a society?

Many of yang's proposals take on a whole new importance and urgency when you realize how much they will impact everything else.
UBI + dept of attention economy + human-centered capitalism + democracy dollars + voting age 16 + medicare for all == what? I don't know. The prosperous, kind, optimistic country I grew up in? Maybe.
In any case, if we can get these fundamentals in place, we'll be STRONGER, better equipped to face all the remaining challenges.
