THE CROWN's Peter Morgan Full Conversation with John Lithgow

Prior to the US premiere of THE CROWN season 3, the show's creator Peter Morgan sat down with John Lithgow to discuss the Netflix series and his career at AFI FEST 2019 presented by Audi. The cast, including Olivia Colman, Helena Bonham Carter, Erin Doherty, Charles Dance and Josh O'Connor, also make an on-stage appearance in this tribute to Morgan.

If only we could convince Peter Morgan to continue writing. Prince Harry and Meghan’s decision to emigrate to Canada is inspirational. As much as he resists, I am convinced Mr Morgan is dreaming plot lines which will be compelling.

I’ve just come back to my original opinion above after two years. Assuming there is more interest in the amazing Peter Morgan as Season 5 is nearing release. Twitter opinions on the new King and his Consort are at fever pitch. I can only imagine the pressure on Peter to continue writing and Netflix executives are well aware that the appetite for The Crown is not diminishing.
