Most important thing has been forgotten - tubeless tyres! Aprilia did its homework very well.

I’m about to roll, 10, 000 miles on my Tuareg and so far I love the bike. I think the tubeless wheels are a big plus, especially if you plan to tour with it like I do. I also like how the aux lights and heated grips integrate into the bike’s electronics package.

I love the Tuareg. I own a T7 and the Tuareg feels 20kg lighter, at least!

That cruise control is my deciding factor over TransAlps and VStrom 800

It was a toss up between this bike or the Tiger 850 sport. Close call but went Triumph, same price bit heavier but a more flexible and powerful motor. If I did more off road I think I would have opted for this little beauty. We’re really spoiled for choice nowadays!

Aprilia dealers in uk always struggled to get parts and when you consider off-road uses makes me wonder if this is sane option for adventure purposes.

I'm a big Italian bike fan, but the reliability factor/ dealer network has been a bit 🤏 of a concern.
Although Aprilia has hopefully resolved the reliability conundrum, the dealer network in the States is scattered at best. I'd have to put my $$$$ on the new Suzuki 800DE 🤷‍♂️.
It is what it is.
Cheers 🍻, G.

The local Aprilia dealership closed a number of years ago in my city of 800k.
Only 20 Aprilia dealers left in Canada, and 15 of those are just in Southern Quebec and Ontario. Closest one to me now is about 1400kms away. Nice bikes, but Piaggio isn't really interested in the market here.

Just about every little town has a Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and/or Honda dealer.

Journalists often love Aprilias but ownership experience is key. Anyone remember the fantastic Mille 1000 so long as you were prepared to bleed the clutch every 100 miles. I even had a multi franchise dealer talk me out of a Caponoord because they couldn't get spares etc. Elephant in the room....

Great bike. Had an extended ride on the weekend - 90%. Only two significant issues or concerns, and the first issue applied to 4 other bikes too - hot restart... The bikes really struggled with restarting after a short (<5mins) off period. The second issue, and this personal, is the traction control - it intervenes too savagely. Power is on or off when slip is detected, (not just mild taper like a GS1250 Enduro Pro), and that's on the 1 setting - 2 or higher just gets worse and it takes a lot of throttle control to not invoke TC.

I really like this bike and it is pole position as a potential upgrade bike for me.

Did a comparison in Spring between the Taureg & Tuono 660. I preferred the Tuono 4 what i need it for . Btw, i'm getting under 4.4L/100km .... Looking forward to see a comparison otr of the new kids on the block, Susi & Transa with T7 & Tuareg

nice review! i'd be leaning toward transalp due to dealer network being much more accessible in the states . closest aprilla dealer is 3 hour drive honda? 6 miles lol

Nice bike, reliability to be determined still the way to go IMO

What about its tenth and most important feature, which although by no means unique to the Tuareg is still worth serious consideration? Boy can it handle some Gush!!

Hey great video @MotoBob! I plan on picking up a Martian Red Tuareg in 2023 spring! Curious on what you're adventure riding gear setup is? What kind of riding boots are those? Cheers.

Id buy one in a second if Aprilia had a better dealer network here in Canada..My closest dealer is 800km away..

100HP out of a 660cc NA is awesome. WOW Italians know how to do it. 80HP with TQ greater and at 2k lower RPM is awesome.

Nice bike. However, is there a dealer network in the UK, for Aprilia? If so, how many dealers exist in the UK?
