Very helpful, thank you! I'm very casually learning welsh, though more so for writing than speaking, and this helps me figure changing sounds versus familiar English.

Hi! I know this is an older video, but I'm wondering where is your normal speaking accent from, would you say? I've heard other YouTubers with it and I'm trying to place it because it's very pleasant to listen to!

There is no “ Welsh accent” - there are regional accents and they are very different, ( eg. In the Swansea valley the word whole is pronounced hole and in the vale of Neath it is pronounced hool) In most part of the south the word school is pronounced skool but in Pembrokeshire and Cardiff/ Newport areas it is pronounced skewel ( a bit like east London ).
The north wales accents are as different from the south wales accents as the comparable accents of northern and southern England. Someone said that this presenter is not Welsh- I think he might well be Welsh, probably from south east Wales from what I’m hearing.

I did love the Welsh accent. A few days ago I thought of learning other British accents, like cockney or Birmingham one. I speak RP 'cause I learned it at school and I love it much better than the American one. Furthermore it's really hard for me to speak like an American :D I've tried it but it wasn't successful.
This Welsh accent is fascinating. One of my favourite sounds is their R, it gives to the English language an unusual taste.

Not a long time ago I tried out if I can speak like a cockney. It was a challenge, I did have to pay attention to my pronounciation. Is it possible in some way to learn some accents of English and use them actively? If so, what would be your suggestion? How I should start and practice?

I started liking the Welsh accent from this game titled Xenoblade Chronicles 2 where the character Nia is voiced by an actress from Wales named Catrin-Mai Huw.
