We recently shared how much we spent attending a destination wedding, and we wanted to follow up with a few things that we learned re: how to save some money!

➡️ Tip #1 - Book your travel as far in advance as you can! Especially your flights, as they (usually) increase in price the closer you get to the departure date.

➡️ Tip #2 - Don’t blow your budget on the hotel. When you aren’t choosing the destination, you may have more limited options when it comes to accommodations, but do your research and see what the lowest cost options are in the area. You likely won’t be spending too much time in your hotel!

➡️ Tip #3 - Consider ALL of the expenses that you’ll have. Travelling for a wedding is different than a typical trip; you’ll have to pack specific outfits, potentially buy an on theme outfit (or two), you’ll still have food costs when there isn’t a wedding event happening, you might need to buy an eSIM, travel medical insurance, and more.

➡️ Bonus Tip - Don’t book high cost activities to keep you busy when you aren’t attending a wedding event; instead, explore the local area. It’s more relaxing, it’s usually really fun, and it saves you a lot of money!

Asking for a friend…if I’m invited to a destination wedding…are the expenses (plane, trains, hotels, food, etc) all on me?

I love you guys so much but if you were able to do at least a small boycott of Starbucks because of all the atrocities they’ve been funding over seas, it would mean the world to me and my family and community dying overseas. Love from Palestine 🇵🇸 ❤
