This is the thing I don’t get so much heavy criticism of the federal reserve but how many instances can we say we were supposed to be in recession and didn’t hit recession. Look back over the past few years we are definitely going to go into a recession, but somehow someway the federal reserve, navigated the US economy so we did not end up in recession. You had experts predicting guaranteeing recession somehow we magically avoided it. Perhaps it wasn’t magic perhaps it was skill and leadership. Now when we see something else on the horizon, then we’re like oh maybe it’s a recession numbers aren’t as good as we thought they might be we can’t wait to blame the federal reserve who literally helped us avoid recession. Remember in 2023 we were supposed to go into recession. In 2022 we were supposed to go into recession. In 2021 we were supposed to go into recession. We were supposed to go into recession in early 2024. We keep dodging a lot of bullets here. Perhaps we should trust in their leadership because we’ve dodged a lot of recession bullets so far and it’s not magic.
