“Hello?”
There’s no answer, and the mysterious man stumbles through your door, which is open, mind you, and you can’t do anything but watch as he enters.
There’s no door. You mentally facepalm yourself as you realize.
You should have fixed it long ago when you were still renovating.
Why is he holding an axe, you wonder a beat later.
Fuck.
“What are you doing?”
And again your words fall on deaf ears as he looks around, waving his axe around wildly. You back away from him, not wanting to be in range of an attack, although you’re as good as dead now.
He’s already in your home, and you can’t exactly push him out the door, especially when he’s holding a goddamn axe.
The man moves toward the walls, and it’s not long before his eyes land on the golden chest in the corner of the room.
“Wait,” you say. “Don’t—” You try to warn.
But he tilts his axe back, and with one swift arc, he shatters everything in that chest.
You hold up a hand to stop him but seeing as he begins waving his axe again, you warily back away, and he hacks away at part of your walls.
Fuck. Another thing to fix.
Thankfully, he goes out the door, and you breathe out a sigh of relief—
Until your walls come crashing down and you realize, with grim acceptance, that you just watched someone destroy your home.
