The south "undefended" border is a very dense jungle, I thought the Americans would know that pretty well.

Fair point for the ocean access but Yunnan is a very good deterrent.. lots of hills, jungles and mountains. Northeast is also defensible for some of the border with its mountains and the Amur but not entirely, especially near manzhouli. People underestimate how urbanized the Yangtze is near the sea though

Those rivers also makes China the country with the most navigable inland waterway. I still can't understand how we often overlook it's benefits.

Tibetan ( Himalayan mountains) are the reason for half of population 🙂 most of rivers come from it 🙏.

Well Manchuria is sometimes very cold and wintery and in the south west they have thick jungles like Vietnam

I’d say the US has the best over all, with the pacific and Atlantic on the east and side, as well as the strongest navy, a naval invasion is simply impractical, and then Canada is a strong ally with the US and Mexico isn’t exactly an ally but isn’t an enemy, not to mention with the diversity of land and rivers means the US can be very versatile as well as being kinda out of the main continents: Europe and Asia means that during war the US factories and production lines are very safe

We have the Heilong and the Tumen and the much of the border area with Laos and Myanmar is fairly mountainous (it's not that we have to worry about an attack from that direction though)
