The south was fighting because they thought the north was going to take over their culture and way of life and yes, they did include slavery, but not everyone in the south was fighting solely for slavery. I am not giving no myth. I am giving for real straight up, honest to God facts the Civil War was about the defining of the nation, and we should keep the confederate flag because it was a reminder of not what I just said, but more importantly, it’s a reminder that both the north and the south deserve the American Civil War over the sin of slavery, the north was just as complicit and guilty as the south was over slavery. At the beginning of the United States the north and work together to end slavery then there would’ve been no Civil War they should’ve lived as two separate nations that’s another thing they could’ve done nowhere in the US Constitution. Nowhere does it say that the secession is illegal
