The men’s 200m is generating more interest in the last two years than the 100m amongst the real fans of the sport and there is so much more to look forward to this year

In my opinion a more accurate way to rank sprinters in terms of 100, 200, 400 or 100, 200, 300 is to set different "weights" for amount of times per event. Being 0.1 seconds faster than someone in the 100m is the same caliber difference (or same percentage of time compared to distance) as being 0.2 seconds ahead of them in the 200m, or 0.4 seconds in the 400m (& 0.3 seconds in the 300m). So instead of 100m time + 200m time + 400 time, it would be more accurate to do (100m time * 4) + (200m time * 2) + (400m time), or (100m time * 3) + (200m time * 1.5) + 300m time.

Using the above calculation the 100, 200, 400 order would look like this (lower number is better):
- Usain Bolt: 121.98
- Michael Johnson: 122.18
- Fred Kerley: 122.20
- Michael Norman: 122.29
- Wayde Van Niekerk: 122.47
- Letsile Tebogo: 122.81

This makes sense because Usain Bolt is 0.51 seconds ahead of MJ in the 100m, which is the same caliber difference of 2.04 seconds of difference in the 400m, so Bolt's "lack of a great" 400m & MJs lack of a great 100m pretty much cancel each other out, & then Bolt comes out on top in the 200m. So despite Bolt not really competing in the 400m I would say he's statistically still #1 overall across the 3 sprints if the events are weighted "properly" (just adding the 4 times makes the 400m weighted pretty much 4 times as much as the 100m, which doesn't make sense imo).

Knighton's 19:49 pushed lyles to 19:31
Now that Tebogo is here ...lyles can break the record or Tebogo breaks it for him

Note, tebogo looks like he doesn't even lift weights. The man isn't even near his full potential and running this fast, historically fast too.

The secret to great sprinting is relaxation and this race is testament to that

Knighton is really flying under the radar

My prediction: Noah finally breaks the world record only to lose to Tebogo in the same race. Tebogo becomes the new world record holder.

All of these Lyles haters 😂 HE ran 19.31. No one else has in the field now for the last 2 years. Lyles isn't chasing Tebogo he is chasing a world medal. The goalposts are always moving for Lyles by these critics...wonder why...

This man is gifted its like his brain can automatically gauge speed over varying distances, just think when tebogo improves for each event in training.

Tebogo has more raw natural talent than any other male athlete on the track today. He is capable of beating anyone including Noah...and he is a very humble young man.
