I love to pick fabrics that I love. I don’t always have a pattern or project in mind but if I love a fabric I always take a 2 yard min if possible. I’m not a good precut user I seem to collect them. I do love Stonehenge fabric and finds it’s perfect with most nature panels. Personally I love fabric and in this love by having a collection currently available at home I can make a quilt when inspiration strikes.

I find a pattern I like, then pick fabrics! Unfortunately, I'm always buying more than I need, because I like so many! Especially at Sew Yeah!

If you use a solid in a quilt with other prints, the solid will pull you. Your eye will go to any solid first. Just make sure that’s what you’re wanting

Wait, this is how to pick a project! Do you have a tip about how to narrow down to a overall background or "trim" color for a tricky color-combo quilt? Like if it could go orange, or green, or purple... suddenly I'm looking at half the store!
