The basic steps for upgrading APEX are:
1. Run the APEX installation script against the target database. The same script is used for new installations and upgrades. The script automatically senses whether there is a version of APEX present and automatically takes the appropriate action. this is exactly what was outline in the nice video above

2. Update the existing version of the /i/ virtual directory with the images, javascript, css, etc. with the current versions APEX installation medium.
• For the standard HTTP Server installations, this is just a simple copy command.
• For the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway (EPG), the script apxldimg.sql is used to load the images into the database.
• For the APEX Listener / Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), recreate the i.jar file that contains the references to the images, javascript, css, etc. from the APEX installation media OR copy the new versions of the files to the existing location referenced by the current APEX Listener / ORDS / web server.

السلام عليكم أستاذ هشام عندي استفسار بعد إذنك أنا نزلت قاعدة بيانات ORACLE 19C على الجهاز عندي ونزلت CASPER REPORT 7 على نفس الجهاز وحاولت ربط البرنامج CASPER مع قاعدة البيانات ولم تنجح المحاوله ... فيارايت لو عندك مساعده في هذا المجال ولك جزيل الشكر

انا مشكلتي اني كنت استخدم oracle listner ، مش ORDS. الان بعد الترقية عندي مشكلة ظهور xdb user/pass. ايش الطريقة اللي اغير فيها المتنصت الى ORDS ؟ مع الشكر
