Hold on, is that old house blowing a giant bubblegum bubble?

Yes it is. This Ephemeral Bubble is designed to add temporary space to a century-old wooden house that serves as a museum in Japan.

The museum can use this bulbous space for arty get togethers. At night, it can be lit to create a lantern effect.

The bubble also provides a unique view from the inside, giving visitors a dreamy vision of the surrounding countryside.

A design group known as MAD is responsible for this humorous breath of fresh air.
