Well in the English dub (not my favorite version) Frieza did state he was barely using 1% of his power against Vegeta, meaning even if he went SSJ Vegeta he would've only been at around 50% of Frieza's power... Then again, if Vegeta got one more Zenkai boost he probably actually could've done it.

What if Future Trunks never went back to his own timeline? Let's say Bulma intended for the time machine to only make a one-way trip and Trunks didn't know so she could give him a better life. What would've happened if he had stayed? Respond in regards to what effect it would've had on the DBZ story, possible fusions, progression of strength in terms of Super Saiyan whatever and power scaling to other characters like Mystic Gohan (Maybe we might've gotten Mystic Trunks and Truhan... GET HYPE!!!!), and even though it's not canon, explain any possible scenarios that could've been changed in the movies and GT. I had a huge comment on the SSJ Vegeta vs Frieza thing. Too bad I'm too lazy to find it and copy paste, so here is the shortened version. Power Level wise I estimate Vegeta around 2 million. Power Level wise he is weaker than Frieza's full power. After SSJ I feel he would be able to stall out long enough for Frieza for his stamina issues to kick in. Slowly but surely Vegeta would take over the fight and pull it off. Using numbers its tough to tell.

What if Broly was revived and brought under babadi's magic vs ssj3 goku and vegeta. Well the main reason why majin vegeta met his end was to return him back to his regular self. What if scenario what if Broly and Android 13 team up on the z warrior lol Kakarot!!! Gokuuu!!!

You guys need to look up Mighty Prince of Rage 1 and 2 by SuperDBZHPFan. It's a fan-made battle that does the Super Vegeta vs Freiza and then Super Vegeta vs Super Goku. You guys will love it if you want to see that scenario.

Honestly though, I think even if Vegeta had gone Super Saiyan, he would have lost against Frieza. The only way he'd win is if he got freiza to go to full power then last long enough for freiza to wear himself out. There was just too different a power level difference. Freiza wasn't even really trying that hard against Goku until he went super saiyan. Vegeta was much weaker than Goku was when he fought freiza and according to official power levels from that fight, Goku was not that far above freiza.

Although, the problem I had with the maajin Vegeta fight was that the battle felt REALLY forced. I liked Maajin Vegeta vs Buu so much more because we saw the change in Vegeta where he started to become a good guy.

From what I've seen dr gero causes a lot of damage and destroys the future via 17 and 18 then cell so my question is why doesn't trunks just go back in time and kill gero before he makes any androids

Vegeta would probably die against Frieza. If Vegeta somehow faced Frieza. Frieza would go Final Form and his final form he used two WAY completely different levels of power against Goku and Vegeta. 

To beat Vegeta, Frieza only used 1% of power. To beat base Goku he went about 50% of his power.  So, even if Vegeta were to turn SSJ. Frieza could easily power up and kill Vegeta.
