-ABOUT SIMMPLE ENOUGH-

Living simply is all about taking back the controls of your life. No more wasting your time, mind, and money. Happiness and freedom aren't down the road for you, they're right here and right in front of you. It has forced us to admit that life doesn't HAVE to be overwhelming, stressful, or a never ending blur of work, home, work, home, McDonald's happy meal.

This channel documents our journey, as a couple, at decluttering our life and taking control of our happiness. We share Moniques Car Life experience, our journey to becoming debt free, our process of saving money to buy an RV, to eventually purchasing our own land. How we cried, laughed, and tried again. So tune in. But more than anything, enjoy a really good story about love and living.

I've been living in my car in London, UK since September 2017. I was only intending to do it for 6 months as I had just sold my house and was looking to purchase another within that 6 months. THE SHOCK.... The shock I had was a very pleasant one. After the initial 2 weeks; the easing in period I call it, I wondered why I had never done this before and to my astonishment the amount of money I saved by doing so. I didn't do it to save money as I had money from the sale of my house, but it showed me just how much money I had been wasting. My mind became clearer as I was no longer staying up watching rubbish on the television - when you live in your car you really have to work to a routine and I feel much better for that alone. I could go on and on, but I'll quickly finish with... when I sold my house as a treat to myself from the equity I purchased a brand new car, not with the intention of living in it, 3 and a half years later I am looking to trade my car in for another brand new car and still have no intentions of buying a new house.... furthermore, not one person I know realises I've been living in my car. I am a 61 year old car dweller.

I thought the same thing. I can't stomach throwing away money to a landlord. Rent goes up every year. Im not married, no kids so I live in my Prius. Just took a 2 week trip to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. I have money in the bank and the 1st of the month holds no significance anymore LOL

A little cocoon, safe and snug. It really shows that we don’t need much to be content. I relate to the need for anonymity, I don’t like nosy people, as I’m not a busy body, and I despise judgements traits, it’s become a social norm, evident during this pandemic. Minding my own business has freed my soul!!!

I really wonder why the car industry hasn't made a car designed exclusively for living in? Not an RV,
those are expensive and HUGE...I mean a regular car designed (with/or without a front seat, bed already
in there - plus other daily living items built right into the car (already)! Every time I get in my "normal"

car I immediately think that there is no place for my purse, for my packages, for my woman-self needs.
Car manufacturers would make a lot of money selling "Car homes" for everyone who doesn't want to
waste money on rent. Combine that with an electric car - think of all the design possibilities! We don't
just drive in our cars...some people might want to live in their car. This is an important market that
the car companies are missing out on big time.

You doing awesome. I did it for 4 years. 2 in a mini van & 2 in a convertible van. I was forced into living in a apartment because my family don’t think it’s normal. But in few bit I plan save up for a mini van & return back to van living. That’s where my happiness is.

I love that giant kitchen area you have! You’ve made everything seem so spacious and so well organized. I have a lot of kitchen and cooking in my car setup as well, eating healthy and on the go is important to me

I realized I could save a FORTUNE doing this so I'm planning on transitioning myself.

Show us the cooking! I would to see how you do it! Homemade meals are the deal-maker for me to transition too!

I chose to live in my car.
The less stuff I have the better. It feels very comforting and adventurous,
I can always find the solutions quick and easily, no matter what it is. 😊🙏❤️

You should buy a black curtain from the dollar store just to throw over your stuff in the trunk so people will not see everything from outside to steal it when you park and leave your vehicle. Get window tints as well so nobody can see the interior from outside. Covering everything will prevent theft. Out of sight out of mind

This is an amazing idea! Especially for someone who wants to save money and buy some land to either park their RV, build a house, or place a mobile home on that land! Stop making other folks rich and helping them pay their bills and living a lavish life style, when you can keep your money and live the same way they do!

We have tried cooking at a park before, totally understand the desire to cook inside the car comfortably. We will be borrowing your idea of putting a cutting board down for the cooking area. Thank you.

@ 6:11 there should be another one on the opposite side. It's supposed to have a mesh netting that, in a perfect world, would keep your groceries from sliding all over the car.
I really like your stewardship and wise useage of your space.
I discovered the rubber lining stuff when I started working in the cafeterias at my kids school.
I love how you can cut them, how you can use them to open jars, so many uses. Just a little strip does wonders.

Great video!

Thank you for taking us along😊
