In this video, I rant about having good tie downs for your dirt bike. Some of us need to join the 21st century and upgrade our equipment. These Cycra tie downs are a good option.

Using this link to buy your parts won't cost you any more than you'd otherwise pay, but it's a great way to support Dirt Bike Channel. Thank you for using this link to help us bring you more great content!

Hey Kyle,
I bought the KTM Powerparts tiedowns which are pretty much the same as the Cycra's. Your video helped me make the change. Thanks for all the info you provide, your vids are very informative!

They don’t have these on their site anymore. Too bad. Looks like a great product. I know @srkcycles sells a similar product call Tank Straps. Any experience with those?

I have the same straps.
But I have changed them.
I have above and below a carabiner hook.
This way, your bike can NEVER fall

Another neat trick is replace the hook at the top with a carabiner that way it's impossible for your bike to come out

$12-$15 at rocky mountain for the cheap "rider gear" or whatever cheap brand it is... has all those features, and cheap enough to buy some spares.

Mine are definitely 80's and 90's hand-me-downs, time for an upgrade for sure.

I use a metal milk crate for a stand still.
I swear I'm surprised mx gear don't come with skirts attached these days. Carabiner?!? I ain't rock climbing, I'm going riding for God's sake

I used to use ratchet tie downs! (Unit we blew some seals...).The soft loop tie downs that just require you to pull are so nice! Loading my bikes only takes a quarter of the time as well!

Use a fork saver so if your front fork seals blow your bike won't fall out like a limp chicken.

Are there any tie downs that allow both sides to release simultaneously?
When im on my own and release one strap, the fork decompresses causing the bike to pop up to the other side.
very annoying..

Been using Matrix Concepts Phatties 1.5" Wide tie downs. Same product really. Excellent tie downs. I never use the 1" Wide ones. They have let go of my bike before on some gnarly roads into certain staging areas.

The Matrix tie downs are superior to the Cycra tie downs as they have a swivel carabineer on the end unlike these ones and lastly they also have the slider nameplate used to tie down cleanly the loose ends of the straps. Matrix are cheaper also I believe.
