Recording Session “Manhattan Unplugged” by Martín García García.

Recorded at the Yardley Penthouse in Union City, NJ in April 18th, 2024.

Here I tackle the famous “Minute Waltz”, which, funnily, lasts two minutes. This Waltz is said to have been composed by Chopin when he got inspired by the running and wagging of the tail of a very playful puppy dog.

Shoutout to Mark Travis for his video recording and editing. Thank you to for their support and their care for the piano, and thanks to for their wonderful instrument.

It's a common and excusable misconception that "minute" here is referred as 60 seconds, for this title here minute implies "very small"! 🤓

I see that Martin Garcia Garcia still cannot sit still when he plays, though not as bad as he used to be: if you want to see truly appalling and gratuitous thrashing around on the stool please look up on YouTube the performance he gave of Rachmaninoff's 1st Piano Sonata when Martin was still young.
