** Update as of February 1, 2023**
4 months post op…

I’m doing so great now! Period and pain free for 3 months now! I’ll be honest I was within a small percentage of people who had post hysterectomy complications with bleeding and scar tissue. However, after a few visits to the surgeon post surgery the issue was treated and I recovered nicely. I have my last Pelvic Floor physical therapist appointment later this month and I feel like a new woman. I will say that I used everything that I purchased but my least favorite item was the pillow for under my knees. After a couple of weeks it caused knee pain so I ditched it. During my recovery, my six favorite items were my belly binder, gas x extreme, my heating pad, ice pack, recovery pillow, bathroom step stool and my meal service (the convenience was helpful). I also carried around a huge water bottle and drank a ton of water.
Some advice; stay on top of your ibuprofen and Tylenol. You may be feeling great but in those first 2-3 weeks, if you skip a your pill you may find yourself in unnecessary pain. Also, don’t rush your recovery. I got bored and started doing stuff too fast which is partly why my bleeding was excessive 4 weeks post op. Take small walks and rest often. I hope this helps.

All coffee money goes directly back into my channel so that I can continue to create enjoyable content for you.

Thank you for your support and for watching this video! 😘

We have a very similar story. When you said adenomyosis and you had pain ALL THE TIME even when you aren’t on your period I had to stop what I was doing because I’ve never really met someone describe so close to what I feel. I am scheduled to have my hysterectomy in less than 2 weeks. I went back and forth about keeping my ovaries but today I made the decision to remove them. My mother had ovarian cancer. I admit I’m still quite terrified. I’m 48 and will not have more children. But it’s still a thing for me. I am definitely hopeful for a new found less painful life. Thank you for sharing your story. ♥️

I brought a nightgown to wear home because I was warned the bladder could be injured due to scar tissue and I'm glad I did. With the catheter the nightgown is easier to wear

Sheree, you have covered everything that you might possibly need. I had this laparoscopic surgery done several years ago and I did not experience too much pain or discomfort. In fact, I felt better than I thought I would have post surgery. I'm wishing you the best for a successful surgery and a speedy and healthy recovery.

You have no idea how similar our brains are. I'm at the beginning of the journey, waiting for scheduling, and, at 58 with bleeding that has never stopped, I've resigned myself that this is my only option. Your update gives me so much hope. Bless you for the willingness to share.

Prayers and blessings for you and your family. I had one at 52. And it does take a while to recover. Your 4 to 6 weeks sounds about right.
