Honestly, after seeing this and analysing the data, I can’t see how anything other than a 10 point deduction for Everton is acceptable.

Apparently the infamous turkish president said afterwards : "i came on the pitch to show my disagreement and originally to spit on the referee (sic...) but ultimately i badly landed a punch and the ref felt down 5 seconds after"... Can't believe he can even think about saying that when there are 20 cameras filming the event... Absolutely disgraceful. Respect to officials? How about some respect in football period? I'm seeing so many comments below moaning about refs as if this disgrace is in some way understandable. From what I've heard the ref didn't even have a bad game, they will make mistakes but how many mistakes do players make throughout a game? Calling a foul that wasn't or not calling a foul that was is the equivalent of a player giving a bad pass, missing a penalty or not tracking the man your supposed to be marking. Question is what are the people who govern the sport going to do? If they don't get anything out of it probably nothing meaningful, poor generals make poor troops and that's the main problem in football
