Or that Anthony Davis watched in street clothes after being the guy they wanted because Luka was too fat and lazy to stay healthy.

It’s that he turned in another solid defensive performance - 3 steals and 2 blocks, most of which came in the first half, part of a historic stat line noted on the broadcast.
But beyond the box score, you saw multiple Mavs possessions end with Luka making a solid contest.
Nobody’s going to mistake Luka for an all nba defender - but if he’s giving ANY effort on that end of the floor, it’s not just a kick to Nico’s shins, but more just a matter of time before Lakers fans are celebrating another MVP from their favorite team - at least once.
