Nickel Hunt and Album Fill #36 - We Found One!
I've decided to start a new coin roll hunting series to see how many bank boxes it takes to fill an entire Dansco Album for Nickels dated 1938-1999. There are 138 slots to fill and although I already have an entire nickel coin collection, I did not keep track of the number of boxes it took to complete the set, which I completed through coin roll hunting nickels.
This is part 36 of the new series (boxes 56 and 57) and I do plan on updating it from each nickel box I hunt from this point forward until the nickel coin collection is completed! It may be a little tougher due to the sheer amount of uncirculated nickel boxes we keep getting but I will keep trying!

FYI - The Dansco Album does not have spots for some coins but we'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels (namely semi-key and key date nickels), Liberty V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.

That was a great hunt. 2 war nickels, a Buffalo, a foreign, upgrades... some of everything. And only the 1950-D left to complete the album. All from coin roll hunting... that’s awesome.

Went through a box of nickels with my dad and papa yesterday. Dad found a dateless buffalo, I found a 2007 proof, and my papa found his first proof - 1973. Love to see it. Congrats on finding your hard earned 1943 D!
