Great Bear Review Hersheypark B&M Inverted Roller Coaster

How good is this B&M terrain coaster? Because of the landscape of the park, this ride has a very unique layout, which helps make this an awesome ride! I will be rating it based on 9 different categories, each out of 10. At the end, it will receive an overall score.

I could not believe how powerful this ride was. The zero G roll kind of broke my brain.

Love this ride. Its probably the coaster I've ridden the most. Went to hershey every year from 98 to 2015 sometimes multiple a year and often did this 2-3 times per visit. I still love it. Unique, fun, fairly forceful ride

Taylor not sure but I think where they tried to bring the theming was to their hockey team. Hershey has a hockey team named the Hershey Bears so it doesn't add much but I think that's where they tried to do the theming

That is one of my favorite rides at Hersheypark.
I did ride in the front once.
The unobstructed view from the front is nice but with nothing in front of me I felt my legs were going to hit the supports.
I do agree that this is unique for an inverted coaster.

I love great bear it is very under rated And I did not expect much from it but it blew me away it is my second favorite invert next to banshee

B&M Inverts are my favorite type of coaster! I absolutely love the way they move along the track and go through inversions so smoothly!

The reason its called great "bear" is because when are on the coaster it sounds like a bear roaring

Great Bear was designed by the same coaster designer of the sooper dooper looper Werner Stengel that would later designed Storm Runner 6 years later

I had mixed expectations going into Great Bear but found it to be a fantastic ride! The drop is easily one of the better ones found on inverted coasters, especially in the back row. I also think the pacing is quite good! Although the ending is just a few meandering turns, the section coming out of the zero-g roll is easily the most intense. That left-hand turn gave me a brief moment of sideways "airtime" and the flatspin is taken with an ideally high speed. Solid ride!
